Out of the box the Year view shows key dates: anything all-day, anything that runs across more than one day, and any timed event you mark "Show on the Year view". Dentist at 3:15 stays on the Month and Week. Flip the switch to Everything when you want it all, and your choice sticks.

- Holidays you pick and birthdays with ages worked out
- Two names per day, then "+3 more"; tap the day for the rest

The year is the map. Everything else is one tap down.
Tap a day
A small card opens with that day's events. Add one from there, or jump to the Day planner.
Tap a month name
The Month view for that month, with every event, color coded by person.
Previous and next year
Last year is still there; next year is already waiting for the trip you are planning.
The same year, filtered by who you are.
Everyone on the account looks at the same Year view, with the calendars they are allowed to see.
Private stays private
Mark an event private and the rest of the account sees "Busy" on that day, not the details.
Hide a calendar
The chips under Showing turn calendars on and off, so the kids' practices can step aside while you plan a trip.
